Rare antique ravier from Gien – Mangalore Model
A beautiful, exceptionally well-preserved ravier from GIEN. The model is called Mangalore and is a rare example of the Oriental wave that swept across Europe in the late 1800s.
The pattern, rendered in a deep dark blue, is inspired by Indian textiles, featuring a border of flowers and a rosette in the center.
