Beautiful old French pyrogen in ceramic with a beautiful patinated metal top. The pyrogene dates from the 1920s and is in very good condition. It is a charming example of French bistro culture and classic table accessories.
Originally, pyrogens were used in cafés and restaurants, where they were placed in the middle of the table with matches to quickly light your cigarette, pipe or cigar. A decorative collector's item that also serves as a piece of history.
