White Martres-Tolosane Confit Jar
A beautiful Martres-Tolosane confit jar from southwestern France in excellent condition. The jar dates from the late 1800s and is in excellent condition.
Martre-Tolosane's factories were located on the banks of the Garonne River, where the clay was ideal for faience production. By the 1780s, only two factories remained, and production consequently declined significantly.
