An elegant and rare large champagne cooler from the French champagne housePommery, made of silverplated around the 1960s.
The cooler is engraved with "Cuvée Louise Pommery"—the house's prestige cuvée, named after its founder, Louise Pommery, who was a pioneer in dry champagne (brut) in the 19th century.
The surface has a patina and shows slight wear on the silver plating; the interior also has a ring mark.
