Beautiful and elegant vintage champagne cooler with grape handle, manufactured by the French company Argit (Ateliers de Réalisations de Goblets et d'Articles en Métal). The cooler is in excellent condition with light patination, giving it a beautiful authentic vintage look.
Argit produced large quantities of champagne and wine coolers for hotels, restaurants and champagne houses, especially in the 1950s-1970s. Many famous Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Nicolas coolers from that period originate from Argit, making this cooler a fine example of classic French craftsmanship.
