Vintage café au lait bowl – Gien “André”

A beautiful and rare café au lait bowl from the French faience factory Gien. The “André Gien France” mark on the bottom indicates early production, dating the bowl to the late 19th century.

Decorated with simple, hand-painted designs in blue and red—a classic, period-appropriate look that brings a touch of French countryside charm right into the kitchen. The bowl bears natural signs of aging, such as a patinated glaze and crazing.

A piece with character and soul—both decorative and a collector’s item. It’s definitely my personal favorite, and if it doesn’t sell before Christmas, it’ll end up back in France :)
