Antique French bol Gien – ca. 1880s
A rare and incredibly charming antique French café au lait cup from Gien.
The bowl is made of Porcelaine Opaque and is decorated with simple, classic green stripes against the cream-white, faceted rim. The base bears the original, antique Gien coat-of-arms mark from the late 1800s.
The bowl has just the right kind of raw patina, with craquelure, charming coffee stains, and a few hairline cracks.
