Welcome to our blog – a peek behind the scenes
We often get questions from you—about everything from how we found our house in France and where we discover all our French treasures, to what everyday life is really like down here. That’s exactly why we decided to start this blog.
Here, we share a little more about the life behind the shop—about the work, the dreams, and everyday life in our little corner of the South of France. A place where old markets, sun-bleached facades, and the French way of life meet a passion for beautiful, vintage items with soul.
Who We Are

Casper
Casper is the person you’ll most often see at our store on Smallegade. He spends a couple of weeks in Denmark every month, during which time he also works as an instructor. As a former firefighter, he teaches first aid and firefighting—so if your workplace needs a first aid course, he’s exactly the person to contact.
Mia
Mia has worked in the tech industry for more than 25 years, but a few years ago she decided to trade her executive position for a life in the south of France. She lives in France full-time and is the one who finds and selects the products you see in the store.
Life in the South of France
A few years ago, we bought an old, abandoned vineyard that we are slowly bringing back to life. The house has stood empty for many years, but it’s full of the kind of details you only find in old French properties—thick stone walls, worn tiles, and stories in every corner.
The renovation is a story in itself. We’re taking it one step at a time and trying to preserve as much of the original charm as possible, while turning the house into a home that suits our everyday life. There are days filled with dust, chaos, and rubble—and days when we suddenly see how it’s all starting to take shape. It’s a project that requires patience, but it’s also a declaration of love for the life we’ve chosen here in the South of France.
What to expect here on the blog
Here on the blog, we share a little bit of everything—stories from markets, glimpses of our renovation, tips on the French way of life, and inspiration for decorating with vintage finds. We hope you’ll join us—and perhaps find inspiration in the tranquility, simplicity, and beauty found in imperfection.
Many of the things we come across down here eventually end up in the shop—everything from old French jars and posters to cutlery and unique finds. Every item has its own story, and that’s exactly what makes it so special to collect them and share them with you.
You can also follow us on Instagram, where we regularly share our French finds and a glimpse into our renovation and daily life here in the South of France.
