Antique rare soap dish
Beautiful and rare antique vanity tray from Creil et Montereau in the Labrador pattern, originally part of the Toilette Alice series. The tray has three divided sections and was used on a washstand for soap, combs, and small personal effects.
The fine green transfer decoration featuring leaves and ornaments contrasts beautifully against the warm, ivory-colored earthenware. The glaze has natural crazing and light patina, which bears witness to its age and authenticity.
An atmospheric piece of French everyday luxury from the late 19th century – decorative in the bathroom, in the kitchen, or as part of a collection of Creil et Montereau.
