Antique ravier from Faïencerie de Castres
A beautiful, wide ravier originating from the faience production in Castres in southern France. We do not often come across faience from there, and it dates back to the period 1880 - 1920. They closed their factory in 1936.
The model is called Roumanie.
The pattern is executed with a fine, detailed printing technique and illustrates romantic roses and an elegant floral border in a deep bluish shade.
