Beautiful old brûlot cup with patinated blue rim and blue pattern on the handle.

Brûlot is an old French tradition for an evening coffee liqueur. The coffee is served black in the cup with a small splash of cognac. In the saucer are sugar cubes dipped in cognac, which you put in. While they burn, the coffee is heated and at a high enough temperature the cognac ignites. When everything is burned, the rest is poured into the cup.
