Antique café au lait bowl – Gien “André”
Beautiful and rare café au lait bowl from the French earthenware factory Gien. The “André Gien France” stamp on the underside indicates an early production, dating the bowl to the late 19th century.
Decorated with simple, hand-painted detailing in blue and red—a classic and period-typical look that brings a French country atmosphere directly into your kitchen. The bowl shows natural signs of age, such as patinated glaze and crazing.
A character piece with soul—both decorative and collectible. This is definitely my own personal favorite, and if it isn't sold before Christmas, it will be heading back to France :)
