Serving dish - Luneville, Mauresque model

Beautiful, antique French serving dish from Luneville, Keller & Guérin featuring the Mauresque decor. The fine red ornamentation is inspired by Moorish arabesques and was extremely popular around the turn of the century, when exotic and historical patterns characterized the ceramics of the time.

The light crazing in the glaze and the minor signs of age bear witness to a piece with history and authenticity. An atmospheric piece of French ceramic with more than a touch of the Belle Époque.
